The Solar Impulse approaches the runway for a landing following a test flight at Moffett Field in Mountain View, California, USA. The aircraft, made of carbon fiber sheets and powered by solar cells, will attempt to fly once around the world powered solely by solar energy.

Members of the "Castellers de Villafranca" Human Tower team form a "castell" near the Tower Bridge in central London. The Castellers de Villafranca are in London to promote Catalan culture and will be constructing human towers, a practice that is entered by UNESCO on the list of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, in various locations around the captial.
