Calligrapher Zhang Kesi dips his brush with ink as he works on a giant calligraphy in Shenyang, Liaoning province, China. Zhang, best known for his giant Chinese calligraphy works written with oversized writing brushes, finished a new calligraphy. It will be presented as a gift to the upcoming National Games to be held in the city from Aug. 31 to Sept. 12.

Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrive at Breakwater Country Park for the start of the Ring O' Fire Anglesey Coastal Ultra Marathon, a three-day, 135-mile foot race around the rugged coast of Anglesey, Wales. Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, made her first public appearance since the birth of Prince George as she joined husband Prince William at the event.
