Residents evacuate from their flooded homes due to a swollen river caused by heavy rains and induced by Super Typhoon Man-yi in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan province. Floodwaters submerged houses and highways in the northern Philippines after water released from a dam following Typhoon Man-yi caused a major river to break its banks.

Activists care for a rescued dog at a breeding site in the Hungarian village of Koszegpaty close to the Austrian border after the property was raided by authorities and animal welfare groups in a cross-border cooperation rescued the dogs. Dozens of dogs were rescued from the site. Activists took visibly scared animals out of kennels and dog crates from two warehouse-like buildings, where the floor was covered in carcasses, faces and garbage.
